You can use SharePoint products on Microsoft cloud servers with enterprise licenses such as Office 365 Enterprise E1,E3,E5 or SharePoint Online license.
In order to run on in-house servers, a SharePoint Standard or Enterprise server and CAL license are required for the number of users using the application.
Hardware requirements are determined by the number of users and the intensity of use. SharePoint Farm is basically set up in a 3-server structure.
1) Database Server: It is the server where SQL Server databases will be located.
2) Application Server: It is the server where SharePoint services will run. Applications can be deployed to several servers as needed. For example, services such as search service, workflows, office web applications can be run on different servers.
3) Web Front End: It is the server where the web site that the users are connected to is published and provides traffic control.
You can store up to 30 million files and directories in each SharePoint document library. However, if OneDrive synchronization is to be used, it is recommended not to have more than 300 thousand files in a document library. Although the file size limit is normally 250 MB, this limit can be made to 2 GB.
